Why Get Involved?
Because it matters. No family should ever have to know the pain of losing a child.
Because we can each do something. If each one of us plays a small part, we can make a big difference.
Because we are all better when we work together. When you stand with us, you help us stand with others.
Because it means the world to us. Every time we get an email that someone registered for an event or submitted a donation, we do a little happy dance.
Because it’s fun. Life is short- do things that inspire joy.
Donate Resources
If you are considering partnering with us financially, we want to make that as easy as possible for you. Fundraising has never been our primary focus, but it does allow us to do more of what we are passionate about. Here are some ways you can get involved:
Make a Donation
An outright donation is a great way to help. No matter the amount, your gift can go a long way in helping in protect children’s hearts and stand with people who are grieving.
Sponsor an Event
Sponsoring an event is a great way to promote your business and make a difference in the community. We offer a wide variety of events, and our attendees frequently become patrons of the businesses that support us. It’s a winning proposition for all.
Host a Fundraising Event
Interested in getting more involved? We’re always looking for fun, new ways to engage people. If you have an idea of how you could help us host a fundraising event, we’d love to talk!
Make a Matching Gift
One of the best ways to amplify the impact of your giving is by seeing if your employer offers a matching gift program. Companies want to support charities their employees care about, so by sharing that you care about Ella’s Umbrella, it helps them care as well.
Here are a few companies in St. Louis that have been known to offer matching gift programs: Emerson Electric Co., Anheuser-Busch InBev, Centene Corporation, Edward Jones, Express Scripts, Bayer, Enterprise Holdings, Nestlé Purina, Ameren Corporation, and World Wide Technology
You can usually find more information about these programs through your company’s HR department or intranet portal.

Provide In-Kind Gifts
Does your business offer a product or service you would be willing to donate? In-Kind gifts are a wonderful way to get involved. We love to offer raffles and auctions items at our events. We can also make good use of food items (like baked goods or catering) and promotional products. If you have an event space or a service-based business, we’d love to explore opportunities to work together! Basically, if you are willing to partner with us, we can probably can find a mutually beneficial way to make it work.
